Hey, y’all! As promised, today I’m kicking off the Moral High Ground livechat! It’s like a group chat for our growing group of readers and subscribers — we hit 6,000 total today! Keep sharing! — where we can blab at each other once a week and during special events. (For instance, after the VP debate when I finish live-blogging at Wonkette, we’ll totally have a live-chat.)

I’m thinking right now we’ll do this on late-ish Wednesday afternoons and I’ll be in there for about an hour each time. (You’ll always get an announcement beforehand with the time, plus on the Substack app you’ll get a push-notification when it’s starting.)

This is the place where if you want to ask me stuff, or tell me stuff, I’ll start a thread, and you can do that. I’ll also be asking y’all for your input on things that are going on, trends you’re seeing, topics you think need covering, and so forth. And if I start a book club here — solid maybe, and I know exactly the book to start with — that’s where the chat will happen.

I’ll probably end up starting random threads when things happen in the news that people want to talk about, etc. Many possibilities!

NOTE: This feature is currently only for paid subscribers. The way it’ll work is I’ll start a thread and anybody can reply. Once this takes off, I’m looking at making it so paid subscribers can also start their own threads, which all subscribers will be able to reply to.
