Still not a drag queen.

Far be it from me to deny anyone the right to express their sexuality however they like: gay, ex-gay, ex-ex-gay - fine with me. With one exception: your partner needs to be consenting. That means no kids, no animals, no unwilling partners. Other than that, it’s all good. Wear what you want, fuck who you want.

All of this...And don't use women as a beard.

“…LGBTQ+ people are perfect children of God just the way they are, no asterisks, not if they do this, or if they refrain from doing that, or as long as they agree to deny themselves the experience of the fullness of who they are.”

THIS! Every day, this!

We must hammer this into their stupid fucking heads, eternally apparently.

Thank you for framing it so beautifully and succinctly.

It’s one of those tells for me, when they split hairs in any way about that. And then when they get called out on it, they always whine that you’re not meeting them halfway. As if they have earned that privilege.

As if there is any reason to compromise how someone chooses to live their life in a way that brings no harm to anyone else.

I remember Porno Pete! His thing was to show up at EVERY major gay men's event, especially leather events, and take lots and lots of SHOCKING VIDEO which was then screened in evangelical church basements as proof of how filthy we were. He attended more LGBT events than any circuit queen.

He’s so weird. I was genuinely surprised to see that he was still around, but upon reflection, it’s not like he’s employable. Even the more mainstream, anti-gay hate groups, always thought he was a kind of a creep, you could tell.

I keep writing you about Freedom From Religion's monthly newsletter which has two pages of small print about people involved in religious institutions who have been accused, arrested, put on trial, or convicted for various crimes, including pedophilia. No religion doesn't have some one listed in one of the columns, but Protestants and Catholics are plentiful. FFRF does so much good work, you might want to give them a shout.

I will check that out! Is it their mailed newsletter, or emailed? I can add it to my list of sources.

I get it in the mail. Not sure if they email it.

I wonder if he is gay, or a heterosexual predator that calls himself gay to "camouflage" his control/abuse compulsion/obsession.

As Randy talks about in his post, regardless of what the answer is there, he's somebody who needs to immediately get REAL therapy and start the process of dealing with it, and I would add, not the religious BS kind that relies on platitudes and prayers for God's healing, but rather he needs to do the ACTUAL work.

And clearly stay away from children.

Re nonviolent options:

Where articles such as this, calling upon representatives in the United States, weren’t enough; we may turn to “independent tribunals of justice [that] consider themselves in a peculiar manner the guardians of [our] rights” (Madison) by following the process detailed here to submit them to our treasured Court.
