OK, now I get it. The reason for the sexual obsession of right wingers is because either overtly or covertly, they are perverts.

Followed Beks for years on not-Twitter. She is a tireless warrior exposing the hypocrisy and predation by so called “youth ministers” and the multiple layers of protection they receive even after being caught. Probation and miniscule sentences are imposed for most of these child hunters. It is way past time to implement sentencing guidelines with teeth!

I just had a funny image of Republicans all grabbing a part of their body and crying and rolling on the ground like soccer players who aren’t hurt but wanted to get the foul against the other team that is 100% the Republican way with their anti-Christian bias committee And jailing the Newark mayor. We don’t deserve this horse shit.

THIS!! Grew up in the IFB movement and saw sooo many examples of this in the churches we sang at across the US over the years. So grateful deconstructing and #metoo are a thing now. :)

I'd like to report that people say Pam Bondi masturbates with a plastic dashboard Jesus, but that may be pro-Christian. My moral compass is going haywire, idk.

82 and we don’t know how many unreported due to “internal” church investigations, threats what have you. I couldn’t get through all because of the ugh factor, but I read enough to give me the creeps at how many sickos there are using religion as their criminal cover up.

This incident goes back decades. While waiting in a very long line at

National Geographic in DC to see recent underwater footage exploring the Titanic, a woman with husband and 6-7 year old boy, was wearing a cap with WWJD on it. This was brand new on the scene. When someone asked her what that meant , she proudly rose up and loudly proclaimed , "What Would Jesus Do?" It could not have been more than a couple of minutes, when her son, who was understandably fidgety, was playing with the stanches along the line. She took off her cap and proceeded to pummel the boy repeatedly striking him like she was driving the devil out, which elicited a stunned gasp from the onlookers. After a moment I opined , "well. Jesus did say, 'suffer the little children'", which got a chuckle from those near me who continued to shake their heads in disbelief.

I live in the Pensacola, Florida area, if you call that living. It's a hotbed of paleo-Christianity, including KJV-olatry.

Occasionally one sees bumper stickers here that read "IF IT AIN'T KING JAMES IT AIN'T BIBLE."

I have to admit that I admire the cheeky incongruity between the bumper sticker's folksy anti-grammatical wording and the spiky formalism of Elizabethan language.

RE: #71 on the list. He is the walking, talking, raping poster man I imagine EVERY TIME SOMEONE SAYS, "HE'S CHANGED. HE'S REPENTED. WE NEED TO FORGIVE HIM. WE DON'T NEED TO HOLD THESE SINS AGAINST HIM ANYMORE." I guaran-damn-tee you every time he was caught, he cried that sob story, and everybody fell down on the floor and said, "Yes! You poor, put upon man-child! We must forgive and forget and pretend you won't rape again!"

The grooming, rapist, child-molesting, child-porn making and consuming, White "Christian" Men DO NOT deserve these chances.

Predators figured out religion provides easy access to young victims and fierce institutional cover for their criminality long ago. It's not rocket science.

This is brutal work...and important work. Not because it’s about dunking on religion, but because it asks a much harder question:

“Why do we protect power before we protect children?”

What you’re documenting here is not just hypocrisy. It’s systemic grooming disguised as moral authority, and then projected onto everyone else.

Thank you for tracking it. For refusing to flinch. For naming it as it is.

And no, it’s not “anti-Christian bias” to tell the truth. It’s 𝘱𝘳𝘰-𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺. And frankly, it’s more Christlike than anything coming from the ones screaming “persecution” while silencing survivors.

Hello, still Christian here, still not persecuted. And no, I don't think it's anti-Christian. It could be, but you are blaming particular people for crimes that they have committed against children. Those monsters are in all walks of life, and of all beliefs, and nones. The biggest problem this country (and others) has, is that we continue to turn a blind eye to abuse, if it's being done in the name of Jesus, or the church....because Separation. Which isn't what our founders meant at all.

And this "taskforce" will only make that kind of thing, worse. I still have memories of reading about the Roloff Homes in Texas, back in the 70s. Here's one article: https://www.nytimes.com/1979/05/22/archives/texas-demands-that-preacher-shut-girls-home-linked-to-abuse-im.html

I expect if I live long enough, I will experience persecution for my faith, but it won't be from the Atheists/agnostics/skeptics.
