“...she had without exception the most stupid, vulgar, empty mind that he had ever encountered. She had not a thought in her head that was not a slogan, and there was no imbecility, absolutely none that she was not capable of swallowing if the Party handed it out to her. 'The human sound-track' he nicknamed her in his own mind.” - George Orwell, 1984

Can I get a Hallelujah! That they never understand the hypocrisy that is so obvious to the rest of us constantly astounds me, and is what has driven me (and so many others) away from organized religion. Keep doing the good work!

Seriously? That's a new one to me. What a shitty thing to do.

It really, really is. It's wilfully blind at best- but far more often it's simply cheap and viciously unkind with only a peeling veneer of kindness, typically with not a single shit given about whether said server is already a follower of the big JC (or a believer in some OTHER religion, perhaps.) Usually these tracts are littered by the kind of Christians who believe in constant altar calls and regular "re-saving"- much like bowel movements.

Boo! You were great in the movie, but better in the book. Sure you never heard that one before.

I tried Christianity, it didn't stick. I wasn't around long enough to see stuff like that.

Thank you. As a Christian, who has actually read and tried to live by Jesus teachings, I approve this Easter message one million percent. God help us, these “whitewashed tombs”(Matthew 23) like Karoline Leavitt and Mike Johnson and so many more are an abomination to God and should be to all of us. “Depart from me, I never knew you,” indeed. I am so, so disgusted by these people, I have no words anymore. Keep screaming about all of them, please, and especially the “spiritual leaders” like Franklin Graham, who repulse me.

My friend and former pastor John Pavlovitz said this week (accompanied by pictures of her, Pam Bondi, and Lara Trump) if you see a blonde white woman on Fox News, get ready to hear the most anti Jesus shit you've ever heard in your life.

Also that horrible Paula something who’s always hanging out in the White House and “praying” with her hand on him. That makes me retch.

Yeah, that “pray in your closet” deal? I don’t think Jesus meant you should take a film crew in there with you.

I love Matthew. You don't even have to be religious. It's all about hypocrisy.

I marvel at where Oval occupier finds these sub-humans, especially the crucifix-donned, bitch-snarking female hypocrites.

Not one of the administration’s dead-eyed, shoe-licking, sub-humans possess a spine or ounce of feeling. Watching the incompetence, lying and shit for brains circus show is both revolting and terrifying.

Maybe sending an innocent person to a death camp is just her way of commemorating Good Friday. When the Eucharist just isn't hardcore enough for you anymore.

Hypocrytes are so used to faking it and convincing themselves that they're getting away with it, that they become entirely immune to every aspect of the teachings they are ostensibly following. They can read Jesus telling them, "...I never knew you" and not apply it to themselves in a million years. Thanks, Evan, for such clear and compelling (for the rest of us) analysis!

Wow, the Jesus loving Christians are on fire this Easter. Yes - nothing is further from the teachings of Jesus than putting on your big flashy cross to defame a kidnapped father. I love Evan’s name for it, Disney Princess theology, when Christian symbols are co-opted to signal in-group membership (white, straight, able bodied etc).

I also really enjoyed this: https://open.substack.com/pub/fathernathan/p/unholy-sht-radical-political-leader-b9d?r=1v21b6&utm_medium=ios

Purely performative “art” for the camera. If she had an ounce of Christianity in her she wouldn’t be working and lying for Hitler II.

I’m sure she sees this as a stepping stone to power, like Huckleberry-Sanders who is busy turning Arkansas into a facist state.

Either of them would be burned by holy water.
