Dear MAGAtista washouts:

She is Jasmine Crockett and you never will be.

Now live with that.

Isabel Wilkerson nails this phenomenon in her book Caste. As noted here, a Black person in a space that whites claim for themselves violates their most deeply held insecurities. Look at Trump’s EO ordering removal of anything DEI related from the Smithsonian complex. Museums in their eyes should only celebrate white accomplishments.

I hate this year so much but its roots were laid long ago.

She called Texas’s Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels” at the Human Rights Campaign gala. Maybe she shouldn’t have said that.

I hadn't heard that she said that but it makes me love her more!

Yeah, I don't care if she called him that after all the horrible things he's done - he won 8 million dollars in the lawsuit that paralyzed him then later supported tort reform, guaranteeing that no one else would ever win an 8 million dollar lawsuit. And we know what he's done to kill migrant children and their mothers, make the lives of trans people miserable, etc.

My husband compares him to the evil doctor in Nightmare Before Christmas.

And maybe Trump shouldn’t have mocked reporter, Serge Kovaleski, right MAGA morons? Right?

Sigh.

The hypocrisy is unreal (getting a bit frightening, actually)

I’m convinced that Trump’s whole anti education schtick is about Obama. Trump knows deep in his reptile brain Obama is smarter, more accomplished, ppl love him. Trump’s believes PBO&Jasmine Crockett should never have gotten the opportunity. Republicans have for years wanted a underclass of uneducated workers, who question nothing&are grateful for crumbs. Black people intensifies this feeling. Brilliant black people makes them enraged.

Let’s make one thing clear: Jasmine Crockett lives rent-free in the minds of America’s most fragile white mediocrities. Every time she opens her mouth, another MAGA snowflake melts into a rage-sodden puddle of projection and performative pearl-clutching. Why? Because Crockett is the walking, talking refutation of every lie these weenus warriors tell themselves about merit, power, and who gets to speak with authority in this country.

She didn’t ask permission. She didn’t wait her turn. And she sure as hell isn’t going to play nice with fascists who’d rather burn the Constitution than hear a Black woman say “no.”

They call her “violent” because she calls for protests. They say she’s “ghetto” because she refuses to flatten her voice to make mediocre white men feel safe. They scream “DEI is unfair” because Crockett proves that when the playing field is even a little less rigged, the old boys’ club gets bodied by brilliance.

She is proof that their dominance was never earned, only inherited, protected, and aggressively dumbed down.

And every time she dances through their tantrums? She makes that truth louder.

If Toddles is against her, she probably qualifies for Great Human Being Of The Year.

I admit it irks me when non disabled people call Abbott, "hot wheels," even though I do it myself, because he is a deplorable person and I am also disabled. But it's only a mild irk, because I know they are not mocking his disability, but what he is: A person who suffered a horrible injury and not one most people would wish on another. He recovered after a long time, but was confined to a wheel chair - not an easy thing for a young person to accept, even with the huge monetary settlement he received.

THEN, he went into politics and proceeded to work very hard and successfully, to insure that no other young person, suffering the same horrible injury with life changing consequences, would ever be able to receive that much money. Because his bottom line is: I've got mine, Jack, now root hog, or die.

Long live Crockett! Would that more Democrats were as outspoken and gutsy as she is!

Having been the recipient of racism and misogyny for the dual crime of being the wrong gender and race in the workplace, in public, and in my own family, this shit is expected. Our country was a slave nation before it was a country. Nothing new here, just new people.

The ultimate DEI hire is easy to see: Barney Fife on "The Andy Griffith Show". Yes, he was funny, but he was also smug, self-important, incompetent, clueless, and generally the worst possible deputy possible: except he was white and Andy's cousin. AND he had a sweet girlfriend (Thelma Lou) who for some reason put up with his idiocy and his lollygagging to the altar. Every mediocre, armchair cowboy, white guy's dream, right? A great job and a great gal just cause you're white, and no matter how bad you screw things up, you never get fired... THAT's DEI.

i DO love Jasmine Crockett. 💖And she is so right about a woman of color having to be soooo much better to get as far as a mediocre white guy. Oh and spare me the outrage of calling that monster of a governor that when MAGA all laughed and didn't give a shit when fat felon47 made fun of the disabled journalist.

Jasmine Crockett is the voice we need in Congress: smart, articulate, and tells it like it really is, unlike the majority of the Dems.

A truth teller who I hope will sooner rather than later will be given a leadership position.

I think Ol Toddy has a massive crush on our Jasmine. The only way he knows how to deal with it in that limited intellect of his is to throw rocks and bugs at her saying, I hate you. He's so pathetic (as are all MAGAs).

While Rep Crockett does some code switching honestly most of her takedowns are standard “pissed off Southern lady” imo, as someone who great up in Floridabama. He just mad the black lady is so good at it, after all, a lot of white men have staked quite a bit on WOC not counting as “ladies” for a loooooooong time.
